Ear Acupuncture (Auricular)

Traditionally, this involves the use of short, fine needles inserted on the surface of the outer ear.

The modern method uses a metal tip, attached to a battery operated Electro-Acupuncture Machine, to stimulate the earpoints.

This probe is applied gently onto the ear surface, to stimulate the earpoints which relate to every part of the body system.

The other method uses carbon electrodes attached onto a plastic clip to treat specific point on the fleshy part of the ear, as shown in the picture. There are vital points here, which can be used for immediate and deep effects to help release endorphins, in order to relax the patient quickly and effectively. Points here are stimulated deeply when used for anaesthesia, when undergoing surgery.

The above treatments are used in conjunction with body acupuncture methods to augment their effects and give speedier results.

Dr Nogier's (A French Acupuncturist) work, demonstrated correspondent points which are linked to every area and system in the body. Whenever there is a problem in any organ system, these corresponding points in the ear, become tender and electrically active.
An electrical ear meter can be used to measure electrical activity in these points, which indicate a need for treatment.

The earpoints contains embryonic information relating to the organ systems and when stimulated, the energy flow to the organs is increased, giving rise to production of hormones and catalysts, and improvement in the functions of the cells and the overall health of the body.
